IT’S COMPLICATED: Navigating Your Relational World
Why Can’t You Be Normal Like Me?
Romans 12:1-2

A couple of years ago, Facebook came up with a new concept for how to define the status of a relationship with someone: “It’s Complicated.”
We have lots of relationships: parents; siblings boyfriend/girlfriend, spouse; coworkers; boss; children; grandchildren; neighbors, etc.
Every relationship will have its ups and downs: but they are always worth it!

4 Questions You Can Ask to Understand Yourself (and others) better:
1. Am I an initiator or a responder?
2. Am I an extrovert or an introvert?
3. Am I a thinker or a feeler?
4. Am I a structured or unstructured?
Romans 12:2: “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.” (New Living Translation)

You cannot change another person: you can only change yourself.

Action Points:
1. I will act, not react. Psalm 141:3
2. I will focus on the good things in you. Philippians 4:8
3. I will apply God’s grace to you. Matthew 10:8
4. I will remember God’s grace to me. Ephesians 2:4-5
