Senior Pastor

Jim Swaney

Jim Swaney is a graduate of Pacific Christian College/Hope International University, and has been in ministry for 30 years. Jim met his wife Lisa at the first Bible study he ever taught, in college. They’ve been married over 32 years. They have two adult children, Christina and Tyler. Both kids are married and in full-time ministry. They are also blessed with two super grandkids: Cami and Cade! Jim loves sports: basketball, volleyball, and tennis. He loves to read and listen to talk radio. You’ll find him most mornings over at Coach’s Corner Fitness Center in Sebastopol. He and Lisa are thrilled to be serving here and are actively exploring Sonoma County. His favorite quote? “Our redemption is not coming in on Air Force One.”



Director of Children's Ministrie

Shannon Coibion

Shannon and her husband, Rich, grew up in Sebastopol Christian Church and have been married for over twenty years.  She is the mother of a son and a daughter, both of whom she home schooled. She has attended Bible Study Fellowship where she served in leadership as a group facilitator and received training in homiletics.  Her goal is to train up our children through Bible training, scripture memorization and apologetics so that they will be well prepared to take their faith beyond the walls of the church.





Youth Pastor

Luke Sanders

Luke is a Sebastopol native! He received his Bachelor’s from Hillsdale College, Michigan, in Philosophy and Religion with a minor in Biology. His passion for knowing God kindled and he became aware of that the need for strong theological and spiritual guidance which he enjoys sharing with students. Luke attended the Oxford Center for Christian Apologetics, an adjunct of Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, and worked with undergraduate Christian organizations across England. He graduated from the OCCA with a certificate in Christian apologetics and pastoral studies. He is currently earning concurrent masters degrees in philosophy and theology at the Dominican School for Philosophy and Theology.

Erin Briggs

Erin is a graduate of San Jose Bible College (now William Jessup University). Erin and her husband Darren are the parents of two grown children. Previously Erin worked as an office manager for ten years and has a background in dance/drama/writing.  Please call the office for any help you might need or if you are interested in a Life Group.





Worship Leader

Mike Mckenna

Mike leads our Sunday morning worship service at 10:30am with authenticity, passion, and a great love for the Lord. Mike and his wife Rachel have four children and really enjoy being with their grandchildren too. Music is a primary way that Mike came to know the Lord, and he has so much joy being able to play, sing, and help people experience God. Mike's style includes being very approachable and humble, his faith is refreshing.






Choir Dircector

Rebecca Sei

Born and raised in Sebastopol, Becky has spent the majority of her life at Sebastopol Christian Church. Always heavily involved in the music industry, she has been in numerous choirs, was in a rock band, taught ballroom dancing, and has collaborated on several screen plays. With a strong passion to serve the Lord and show His love and beauty to others, she leads our choir. Becky and her husband, Randy have 5 children and 8 grandchildren. In their free time, they enjoy traveling in their 5th wheel with family.







Patty LeDonne

Patty and her husband Gary have been attending Sebastopol Christian Church since 1977. Patty has been serving as Church Treasurer for the past 11 years as a volunteer and went on staff in January, 2012. Other areas where Patty serves are on the Missions Committee, Finance Committee, Chidamoyo Christian Hospital Board, the Book Club and she sings in the Choir. Gary and Patty have raised six children and have nine grandchildren. She also co-owns a local mortgage company.





Media & Tech Director

Gene Naber

Gene and his wife Dianne found their home at Sebastopol Christian Church 30 years ago. He helps lead in areas of sound, video, lighting, streaming, video presentation, and website. He loves to learn new things and reads tech manuals like most people read novels. Gene has been involved in our tech and media ministry for several years. Gene has a genuine passion to serve the Lord by using his many gifts. In his free time, Gene sings with the SCC Choir, Sebastopol Senior Singers, and is his grandsons' football team videographer. Gene and Dianne have three children and five grandchildren and are blessed to have them all living locally.




Kathy McCarty

Kathy McCarty, RN MSN has been serving at Chidamoyo Christian Hospital in the bush of Zimbabwe for over 25 years. Kathy grew up in our church, and we are honored to be able to fully support her. Kathy is the nurse in charge who oversees the hospital. Patients receive not only quality health care but the good news about Jesus as well. She is a pioneer in the treatment and education of AIDS patients. People walk for miles just to seek care at this hospital. This is the only available hospital for over 70,000 people in her region. She was a recipient of the 2008 Nurseweek's humanitarian of the year award - previous winners were Paul Newman and Rosalind Carter. Many people from our church go to Zimbabwe to assist Kathy with her work.



Children's Ministry Associate

Danielle Maca

Danielle and her husband Luis started attending Sebastopol Christian Church in 2007, the same year their sweet daughter Abigail was born. With a passion to teach kids about God's love, Danielle has enjoyed being on the staff team and has faithfully served in the children's ministry for the past 5 years! You might also know Danielle through her experiences on several competitive dance companies. She is currently a teacher at The Petaluma School of Ballet, The Dance center, and Sebastopol Ballet.







April McDonald

April faithfully plays the piano for our church services and is a special blessing to the choir, where she not only plays piano, but sings as well. April teaches piano, volunteers at her daughters' school, and directs the children's choir. She and her husband Tom live in Sebastopol with their two daughters, Kelly and Julia.
